Travis Scott turned the American Airlines Center into his "Utopia"

I’ve been to a few concerts and had similar experiences with each one. I honestly don’t know where to start with the Travis Scott concert.

Travis Scott sold-out two nights at the American Airlines Center. Scott hasn’t done a concert tour since July 2019. Scott announced his “Circus Maximus” tour on his Instagram back in late August of this year.

Heading into the American Airlines Center, you could feel the electricity in the arena. I couldn’t spot any fan that didn’t have on Scott’s merch.

The merch line was crazy long but for good reason. I originally planned to get the Dallas exclusive t-shirt that’s been blowing up on TikTok but unfortunately, they sold out of that t-shirt fast. I found this out at the merch table after waiting 30 minutes. I purchased the pink “Are these the front row seats you wanted?” t-shirt. The t-shirt is made with fine quality and was very comfortable. Well worth the $55 I’ve spent on it.

Teezo Touchdown was the opening act and killed the set. Nothing but bangers on his part. At the first Dallas show, Teezo only preformed three songs due to technically difficulties. But this go around, Teezo got to perform his whole setlist. Usually, people don’t care about the opening act and the opening act knows this. Teezo was a different story. As expected, he managed to get everyone hyped up. The chemistry he had with the audience was unspeakable. I wouldn’t be surprised if he had his own tour a year from now.

About a quarter of the show done, Scott brought a fan on stage and had her get on a rock head that ascended from the ground to the panoramic screen. I have never seen an artist so in love with their fans that Scott did that night.

A few of my friends went to the first Dallas show and said that Scott was an hour late to perform his set. This could possibly be the technical difficulties Dallas was experiencing that night. But on night two in Dallas, he got on stage (more like shot up into in air on stage) and was on time.

Scott opened the 2nd night strong with his song “HYAENA” from his Utopia album. From the pit to the nosebleed, everyone was jumping around. It got to the point where I felt the floor shake (I was located in the nosebleed and had an amazing view of the stage). Scott has been known to start earthquakes at his show and I wouldn’t be surprised if the American Airlines Center almost experienced a small earthquake inside.

Scott kept mentioning that night two in Dallas is “going to be a special night.” I kept wondering why he kept saying this until Scott brought out rapper Offset on stage. I thought the crowd was crazy once Scott got on stage. I was wrong. The whole arena lost their mind. Offset got to preform “Bad and Boujee” and two new songs off his new album “SET IT OFF”: “SAY MY GRACE” and “WORTH IT.”

It still amazes me now how the crowd managed to stay hype for nearly two hours of non-stop Travis Scott. From the Visuals on the panoramic screen, the stage, the DJ, to the songs, this concert was completely out of this world. This had to be one of the best concerts that I’ve ever been to.
